Advanced Features:
Geo locator systems available for Australia and New Zealand
Store Finder default range finding logic is based on distance by road system, which offers outstanding, highly relevant results for commuters.
Australian distance by road
Our distance by road system offers outstanding results for commuters, especially for those living in cities divided by waterways or other geographical obstacles.
Results are calculated based on the distance following the road network to locations using the geographic centre of the postcode boundary, and are extremely accurate, resulting in significant travel time savings.
Distance by road is currently only available for the Australian version.
New Zealand distance by line of sight
Distance by line of sight (New Zealand version) algorithm calculates distance to locations using the geographic centre of the postcode boundary. These results provide precise nearest match functionality.
About our geolocator
Geocoding is a term normally used to create longitude and latitude from street addresses. Store Finder operations are "geocoded" by combining postcode data with map data to produce longitude and latitude coordinates for our lookups. The Store Finder algorithm finds the distance to locations based on the geographic centre of their postcode boundary using these coordinates.
