 Australian distance by line of sight
Our distance by line of sight system offers outstanding results, usually accurate to within the radius of a postcode.
Results are calculated based on the distance 'as the crow flies' using the geographic centre of the postcode boundary, and are surprisingly accurate.
New Zealand distance by line of sight
Distance by line of sight (New Zealand version) algorithm calculates distance to locations using the geographic centre of the postcode boundary. These results provide precise nearest match functionality.
About our geolocator
Geocoding is a term normally used to create longitude and latitude from street addresses. Store Finder operations are "geocoded" by combining postcode data with map data to produce longitude and latitude coordinates for our lookups. The Store Finder algorithm finds the distance to locations based on the geographic centre of their postcode boundary using these coordinates.
